Hello,

I was checking out the pictures on your website.  For many years, my son and I have wanted to have a whippet in our lives.

Best, Glenn

What beautiful whippets!  We got our first whippet Aeolian Dream Girl (aka "Fredricka" and "Mango") in 1999 from Dr. Barbara Henderson who was a veternarian and whippet breeder in Maryland. Her place was Whipporwill.  Did you know Dr. Henderson?   My husband and I were curious what happened to her and all her whippets.

We now have another whippet who came to us via another vet who married into our family.   She had a friend who could no longer care for her whippet and we're still fostering Mildred (ha!) seven years later.

i'm a person who has rescued or taken in "hand-me-down" pets all my life - including shelter dog mixed breed to cats to an injured racehorse and then to greyhounds. Recently my best dog ever died after 11 fulfilling years with me.When I adopted her she could only go to a greyhound-experienced home because she was very high strung! Within 6 months she passed her.Canine Good Citizen test demonstrating a superior recall! I love sighthounds but would like a smaller dog now - obviously whippets come to mind.

I saw the string below regarding a one year old that you have but who pulls on the leash. That doesn't worry me - I learned a number of techniques to eliminate that problem.

i would love to hear from you about your one year old - or any other "used" or adult whippets 13500 Mauroneeding a loving home.

I am very interested in adopting/buying an adult whippet.  We have had a greyhound in the past and love these animals but size is an issue for my vehicle. We are a retired couple living in Lewes, DE, love to walk, hike, and we have older grandchildren who occasionally visit from out of state. Looking for a companion who is housebroken and walks well on the leash.

Hi Marian,

I have a soon to be 1 year old male whippet. He's crate trained, house broken, rides great in the car (only in a crate please).

He loves to walk but pulls some. How much dog experience do you have?

Hi Suzanne,

I plan to breed a litter this summer. Are you still interested in a puppy?
